Patrick Sutton

Patrick is a Communications Partner on the a16z crypto marketing team. He works closely with portfolio companies and investing partners on communications strategy.

He has worked in crypto communications since 2014 across exchanges, wallets, institutions, DeFi, policy, and L1/L2 ecosystems, helping teams launch products and networks, navigate challenges, and tell clearer stories around new ideas.

Before joining a16z crypto, he was at Kraken launching a range of products, markets, and policy initiatives. Earlier in his career, Patrick built the communications function at Avalanche / Ava Labs as a first 20 hire.
