Joshua is the Controller for a16z crypto. He leads the finance team focusing on financial reporting, treasury, accounting, budgeting and the annual fund audits. He also partners with internal teams to execute staking, delegation, and management company operations.

Prior to coming to a16z in 2019, he was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG where he led and managed audits for alternative investment funds in the financial services industry; specializing in several fund structures including venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds. Before that, he was an Executive Team Leader at Target.

Joshua is a CPA (inactive) and holds a Master of Accountancy from Golden Gate University as well as a B.S. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
