This talk explains how multidimensional fee mechanisms can increase the efficiency of resource usage in blockchains. Traditionally, single dimensional resource markets don’t capture the true constraints and often leave excess performance on the table. Guy Goren (Aptos Labs) discusses some potential designs for implementing multidimensional fees along with explaining the main open problems before they can be put into production.
