Fiona is a senior security manager on the Security team focused on operations of the office security teams as well as planning and executing event security strategy.
Prior to joining a16z, Fiona was the global security area manager for Meta’s San Francisco and Marin campuses. Previously, Fiona was a security manager for Bently Reserve and worked as the regional security manager for ISOS. She began her career in TV, working for a director of risk management and corporate security for Oxygen Media in New York City and at NBCU and Fox in Los Angeles where she ran their global security operations center.
Fiona graduated with a MS degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is originally from Ireland and moved to New York City when she was 17, to escape the rain and to work in TV. In her free time, Fiona enjoys traveling to surf and fun road trips with terrific random stops.
