Claudia Picanco is the HR Partner at a16z crypto. Claudia works closely with our team on a full spectrum of HR programs and initiatives such as people development, performance management, conflict resolution, learning and development, and organizational design.
Claudia comes to a16z with more than 15 years of HR and leadership development experience. She’s worked in both start-ups and established organizations as well as, multi-site, international matrix organizations, and within environments that are fast-paced, high-change and high-growth.
Before joining the firm, she worked at Contentful partnering with the Go-To-Market leadership teams on all HR related initiatives. Prior to that, she worked as a People Partner for organizations such as Pixar, Square, GoPro and Lucasfilm. Additionally, she is a leadership coach working with both individuals and leaders to help them maximize their effectiveness and impact, and has done quite a bit of work as an HR Consultant.
Claudia was born in the Azores, Portugal. She has a B.S. from the University of San Francisco and received her coaching certification through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI).
