Investing (again) in Dynamic Labs
What does a user’s first interaction with your product look like? How does it feel to be onboarded?
Nailing first impressions is critical in software — if a user has a lackluster introduction to a product, they’re unlikely to stick around. It’s no surprise that wallet-based authentication is a core component of the web3 user experience. We’ve long believed that smoother onboarding and auth would become the norm, and it’s a problem the Dynamic team has been tackling head-on.
Co-founders Itai and Yoni met at MIT a decade and a half ago and have been friends ever since, working together in product and engineering roles across multiple companies. What sets this team apart, in my mind, though, is not just their experience and deep expertise in software development and product management, but their maniacal obsession with perfecting the product experience.
And indeed – it’s paying off. Time and time again we’ve heard from developers how seamless the integration experience is, and how much time they’re saving by focusing on their core product instead of worrying about authentication and user onboarding flows.
That alone would make for a product well worth using. However, the experience does not stop at authentication. Dynamic is also building out a robust orchestration layer that includes features like advanced built-in access lists, NFT gating, and identity integrations, which can be accessed through simple toggles.
Most recently, Dynamic launched mobile-first embedded wallets with passkeys, which allow users to spin up a new, non-custodial wallet simply by using FaceID. It’s smoother than the best web2 experiences— and that’s the holy grail of usability we’ve been clamoring for years.
We’re thrilled to announce our support for Dynamic today and share that we’ve led a $13.5M Series A into the company following our earlier Seed round.
